A story that begins with our ancestors
Our story began long before the “Tomino” label existed. Our ancestors grew vines and made wine in small quantities, for the family and for guests at home. Over time, as in many families, that tradition was interrupted.
The love for wine, however, never disappeared. In the last decade it came back to life – with new vineyards, new knowledge and the wish to continue our ancestors’ story in our own way, with a clear goal: wine of recognisable quality from the Kumanovo wine region.
From the vine to the glass
With a lot of hard work, dedication and love, we make sure that every bunch that grows is turned into a glass of quality wine. Harvest is a special time for us – walks through the vineyard, time with friends and a feeling anyone who has tried it will know.
The story gained a new dimension through new friendships. Working with experts in viticulture and oenology – the analyses, the samples and the advice we received – became part of our method for making high-quality wine. Today our range includes eight wines – Chardonnay, Chardonnay Barrique, Temjanika, Vranec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique and a Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot coupage – in 0.75 L and 0.375 L bottles.

Awards that confirm our work
From the very beginning, our winery has stood out for wines whose taste is full, harmonious and easy to enjoy. The first confirmation came at the Young Wine Quality Competition in 2021: a gold medal for Chardonnay and bronze for Merlot.
Then came the international stage. Wine Vision by Open Balkan in Belgrade – a fair of wine, food and tourism connecting producers from North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania and the wider region – became the place where Tomino presents itself every year.
- 2021 – Young Wine Quality Competition: gold medal for Chardonnay, bronze for Merlot.
- 2022 – Wine Vision by Open Balkan, Belgrade (first edition): bronze medals for Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
- 2023 – Wine Vision by Open Balkan, Belgrade: two gold medals (Merlot Barrique and Cabernet Sauvignon) and silver for Merlot. The fair hosted more than 600 exhibitors from 28 countries, and the wines were judged by an international jury of 30, including five Masters of Wine.
- 2024 – Balkans International Wine Competition: silver for Chardonnay and bronze for Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique and Merlot Barrique.
- 2025 – Wine Vision by Open Balkan, Belgrade (535 exhibitors from 34 countries): a platinum medal for Chardonnay at the Open Balkan Wine Trophy – the winery’s highest award so far – and bronze for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
- 2026 – Balkans International Wine Competition, Hvar (Croatia): silver for Merlot Barrique 2022 (86 points) and bronze for Chardonnay 2024 (83 points).
From Kumanovo to Europe
From a small family cellar, Tomino is gradually growing into a brand that represents the Kumanovo wine region beyond North Macedonia. Our wines are now also available in Austria through our importer and distributor in Vienna, and our goal remains the same: Macedonian wine with a local identity and a quality recognised everywhere.
That is why we believe the most important award is not a medal, but the person who opens our bottle, tastes it and wants to come back to Tomino. Our customers tell the story of Tomino – and it is still being written.
